10 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR TAKING THE CFA® (CHARTERED FINANCIAL ANALYST®) EXAM

In the competitive, rapidly evolving profession of investment management, few achievements will say more about your commitment to knowledge and high ethical standards than earning the CFA charter. The global investment community at large recognizes the CFA designation as a symbol of professional competence and excellence.

Bulgarian CFA Society (BCFAS) announces its 2009 CFA Scholarship Program. The society will grant 10 scholarships for taking the June 2009 CFA Level I Exam. Additional scholarships may be available by the decision of the CFA Institute..

The CFA Scholarship comprises a waiver of the enrollment fee for the CFA Exam and a discount on the  registration fee for the June 2009 CFA Level I Exam. Scholarship recipients will have to pay only the cost of curriculum (US$220) plus any applicable taxes and import duties. If the chosen scholarship candidate has already enrolled for the June 2009 CFA Exam, CFA Institute will refund his/her enrollment fee less the US$220 non-refundable fee. The completed Scholarship Verification Form will be needed in order the refund request to be processed.

Eligible applicants for the Scholarship Program are candidates who:

• Fulfill all CFA candidate requirements to register for the Scholarship Program (for more information, please see www.cfainstitute.org)
• have never enrolled for the CFA Program or who have enrolled (will enroll) for the first time for the June 2009 CFA Level I Exam.
• Applicants - students, they must hold a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent not later than 31 December 2009.
  

  In order to apply for the Scholarship Program (ALL APPLICANTS) please download the APPLICATION FORM 2008 and the SCHOLARSHIP VERIFICATION FORM

  THE APPLICATION FORM, THE SCHOLARSHIP VERIFICATION FORM, CV and MOTIVATION LETTER must be received by BCFAS not later than 16 December 2008. Documents received after the deadline will not be considered.

  All eligible candidates will be contacted by BCFAS in the period 17 - 18 December 2008 to take part in the Scholarship Examination which will take place on 20 December 2008.
