- Bulgarian CFA Society (BCFAS ) has been approved as the 123-rd
Chapter of the Chartered Financial Analysts Institute, CFAI in Apr.
2003
- Unilaterally or jointly with Burov Foundation, BCFAS arranges
allowances for CFA program enrollment or CFA exam. Thus, BCFAS produces & administers
tests to reveal the most talented candidates
- In 2003, with the invaluable support of the Bulgarian Ministry
of Economy, for first time BCFAS launched a professional CFA training
event by securing the services of BPP (www.bpp.com) Both first and
second levels of the CFA Exam were covered. In 2004 BCFAS , the Bulgarian
Ministry of Transport and BPP organized & implemented a professional
CFA training program for all three levels
- BCFAS developed and disseminated through a series of courses
Professional Training in Credit Analysis & Capital Markets. The
Professional Training was carried out in partnership with Elieff
Center for Education and Culture, American University in Bulgaria,
in February 2003. Target group was professionals in the field of
Credit Analysis in commercial banks, leasing companies, investment
intermidiaries, etc. Significant participation in the organization
took Mr Dimitar Mitev, CFA®. Our members Mr Teodor Marinov, Mr Chavdar
Rissin and Mr Andrey Genev participated as lecturers and their activities
were a proof of the potential and capability of the Bulgarian Association
of Financial Analysts. BCFAS intentions are to make the courses a
legular activity which to be implemented every year henceforth.
- Two Annual Meetings were held. At this year’s meeting which was
held on 6 April the first Board of Directors was exonerated from
responsibility. Then the new Members of the Managing Board were elected
- BCFAS carried out a forecasting event în 29 April 2004 with the
kind participation of Jim Ware, CFA, an AIMR retained tutor and visiting
lecturer. Among our prominent guests were famous representatives
of the Bulgarian and international businesses, bright personalities
and active figures in our economic social and politic life
